It should be a renewing opt-in. It should only apply to legal adults and should require renewal every 5 years. If a person does not renew their membership, the tax should end for them. We should not be financing these institutions which have covered up their affiliation with the holocaust and crimes against humanity abroad.

The church tax should be reformed to a "social fee", which can be used to donate to humanitarian organisations, churches, etc. of your choice

Yes, the system should be updated, and a model such as that in Norway pr Belgium would be preferable, where all religious groups receive tax money depending on number of adherents but there are conditions (no cultish behavior, no money if sex offenders are not remitted to justice,...)

Religious organizations should pay for their own maintenance, and if there is a need for expense by the state for the organization the said organization should be required to pay tax.
