Președintele turc Recep Tayyip Erdogan susține că Israelul va "și va îndrepta privirile" către Turcia dacă reușește să învingă gruparea teroristă Hamas din Fâșia Gaza.
Erdogan a întrerupt legăturile comerciale cu Israelul, a menținut legături strânse cu Hamas și a criticat repetat Israelul și liderii săi "naziști" de la declanșarea războiului provocat de masacrul grupării teroriste pe 7 octombrie.
El a exprimat sprijin pentru Hamas, clasificat ca organizație teroristă de Israel, Statele Unite și Uniunea Europeană, printre altele.
"Nu credeți că Israelul se va opri în Gaza," le spune Erdogan parlamentarilor partidului său în parlamentul din capitala Ankara.
"Dacă nu este oprit... acest stat huligan și terorist își va îndrepta privirile către Anatolia mai devreme sau mai târziu," susține el, referindu-se la marele peninsul turc, numit și Asia Mică, care cuprinde mai mult de jumătate din teritoriul Turciei.
"Vom continua să fim alături de Hamas, care luptă pentru independența propriei sale țări și care apără Anatolia," adaugă Erdogan.
Israelul nu a pretins niciodată că vreuna dintre părțile Turciei îi aparține, iar nu este clar pe ce se bazează Erdogan pentru afirmațiile sale.
