Mental health is one of the greatest issues which face people, and the rate of people seeking treatment for mental illness is growing. I believe this is because people today are able to admit when they are unhappy or mentally ill. This is an opportunity, but we must seize it with funding and research. If we do this, we can make sure more people live happy and fulfilled lives, one of the greatest and most noble goals of all. The downside of less spending on something like the military, or increased taxation, is tiny in comparison. It is also an investment in our future - by treating mental health disorders, we can make people more productive, and this program will pay for itself in the long run.
