Private educational institutions are able to experiment and innovate in a way that public schools are not. With proper leadership, public schools can benefit and draw from the most successful of these innovations without having to spend the funds necessary to experiment themselves. Furthermore, Germany’s public funding relies heavily on taxes taken from the wealthier income brackets—and Germany’s reputation and place on the world stage relies in part on its most successful capitalist citizens. These brackets/citizens will certainly dwindle/emigrate if such powerful incentives as providing the brightest possible future for their offspring are removed.
