There is definitely a reason for the tuition being so expensive. For example I can't imagine what the cost to simply run the college cost. I also think it creates an unfair advantage to underprivileged kids who are unable to attend a college simply because of the cost. There should be no reason a kid who is Harvard or any college smart can't attend simply because they can't afford to go.

The tuition costs are currently so high that repayment of the cost and constant interest will last a large part of one's life. In most circumstances the debt will not be repaid for decades. This is economically and morally wrong to put this on a young individual, who is seeking the current social norm of further education. (UK system I am talking specifically about). Were University education more of a special case and rarity, then perhaps a tuition cost should be allowed. However considering path to University is so much more common and widespread amongst European citizens, it should be treated in the same manner as the school system, whereby there is no tuition.
