It depends on the severity of the drug trafficking. I would say that even the most sever drug traffickers wouldn't receive the death penalty and instead life in prison without parole.

Only if public security is under a big danger, for example for fentanyl traffickers. Drug dealers that sell to kids should receive death penalty.
